A Cup Of Revenge!

Have you ever wondered why spiteful individuals never seem to reach any level of success? We have an outstanding example of this self inflicting wound being exhibited and promoted by our current President. How do you expect to exude leadership when you try to build it on a platform of spite?

Currently our leader is trying to sell to the American people that one sector of our society isn't paying it's fair share. Not only is that as far from the truth as one can get, it's completely distant from how any leader should act. Here he is trying to sell a policy of revenge on success. He's hoping that the 95% of this nation that's not enjoying a seven figure income of better will feel as if they need to hate the 5% that set examples of how it can be for all of us. President Obama is trying to inspire anger to make the working people feel more powerful against the wealthy and seek revenge through taxation. He's giving them a mirage of raising their self esteem by attempting to lower the esteem of the well to do. Anybody else see a flaw in that strategy? Washington is praying that our unforgiving hearts will resent in any success and delight in punishing what he deems to be the offenders. The Democrats are banking on America gloating when the successful are taxed with greater vigor. That's just wrong is so many ways!

We are the landlords of our mind, and it's important the rent we collect is not one of revenge. Especially when those Washington seeks revenge upon should be held in esteem as role models for our own success! Who would want to carry the burden of hate the government is trying to stir up to enjoy a better lifestyle? Shouldn't we be dwelling on all the good we can accomplish if we live the American dream? Instead it's being portrayed as a potential nightmare, as everyone is being told they should hate the wealthy and extract revenge in taxation.

This isn't the policy of leadership that's good for the nation. What if their ire is turned upon you? How about if tomorrow they decided anyone who owns their own home should be targeted, or anyone who owns a car? It's wrong to envy, and worse to hate. Nowhere in any code of conduct is this acceptable behavior, yet this is who's leading our nation! Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "A man is what he thinks about all day long." With that in mind, is what's happening with the leadership in Washington a reflection of your thoughts?

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
