Resolution Solution!

The dawn of the new year is upon us. Come tomorrow morning we'll be held accountable for the resolutions made for the improvement of our lives. Some will promise to shed a few pounds, some will seek to be more responsible financially, some will try to mend relationships in their lives. Sound familiar? It is! The three train wrecks, (Thanks Chris), you can sum up the major challenges in people's lives with that phrase. The core issues of a happy life are being healthy, (losing weight etc), wealthy (having financial discipline), and wise,(the wisdom to maintain relationships). Examine all the hurdles and challenges in your life and very few fall outside of these parameters.

Every year at this time I self reflect and examine whether I'm better off now than I was last year. If I find I'm not then it's time to ask; Why? I'm not in the habit to turning for others for their opinions on my shortcomings, while this maybe a flaw, I know the truth. The simple secret is to quit trying to deceive myself and face reality. If I don't know the answer then I look to my mentor, the Bible, and read some information from authors who have the fruit on the tree in the subject I seek information about. Since the only one who can improve me, is in fact me, then it's my responsibility to seek the information then apply it with the discipline necessary to accomplish the improvement. I hold myself accountable! Novel idea, no?

If we want to change the world we have to start with ourselves. Trust me it's infectious. The good you do for yourself will spread to others. It's also a great defense mechanism! Seldom will someone try to seek to take advantage of a sharp, put together individual, there are so many easier targets! Reflect that power and confidence and come New Years Eve next year the list of improvements you wan to see will be a whole lot smaller.

God Bless!
Happy New Year!

Something to Think About!

I've been a little hard on the education system of late, and for good reason. Has anyone else noticed that there isn't leaders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or Ben Franklin to name a few, in Washington? Is it a coincidence that they all lived in the same era? I think not! Our education system hasn't produced thinkers and leaders for a very long time. I challenge you to point out someone in Washington with the patriotic leadership skills of George Washington. Here's a man who fought a war, survived countless winters without clothing and supplies for he and his men, and did it all without pay for the birth of our nation. Nancy Pelosi would be gone in a heartbeat if you took away her private jet and her bottled water allowance. How many in DC would work without pay and benefits for the service of their country?

Name a thinker in Washington like Ben Franklin. There hasn't been one in a very long time. How about a politician who could orate like Abraham Lincoln, composing speeches like the Gettysburg address without an army of speech writers? I think the last I can think of was Martin Luther King. Any actor can read a script from a tele-prompter.

Give me a current politician who could write legislation like Thomas Jefferson, void of an army of special interest lobbyist and constitutional lawyers. They don't exist. Our politicians aren't scholars nor are they leaders. They lack the ability to think through problems, because they were trained to do a task, not taught to think.

Our education system produces great doctors, program designers, and any other system trained performers, but to think is a lost art.

Let's grab hold of the new math they teach. When I went to school, if you earned two dollars then saved two dollars you had four dollars. Now the new teaching is you have two dollars, then you borrow fifty dollars, for a sum of one hundred dollars, on paper at least. In reality that fiat, or paper money doesn't exist and the fifty you borrowed the interest you owe on it has eaten up the original two dollars you had, leaving you with a deficit. Now you know why America is in the hole to the tune of trillions.

It wasn't an accident Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and other thinkers and patriots lived in that era. They were products of their education and their upbringing. My point is we need to get back to that kind of education to ensure the future of our country. That process produced common sense thinkers and principle based leaders.

Training Vs Education!

We've assigned a great deal of control over our children's education to the federal government, and the results are reflecting the change. Federal mandates, guidelines, and testing have taken the control out of the local school board hands and transferred it to Washington. The side effects of teaching children what to think, and not how to think is called by some, the dumbing down of America. If you take a long hard look at the issue, you'll realize children are being trained to secure a job. So we've opted for training instead of education. Education expands the mind and challenges you to come to conclusions on your own.

The proper way to educate someone is to lead them to the classics. The greatest example of all, and the book forbidden in today's classrooms, is the TEACHINGS of the Bible. Through parables and stories of those who've gone before us, the out come of good and bad behavior are laid before the student and then a choice can be made. That choice is the student's decision based on the input provided. The ability to make a decision exemplifies the difference between training and education, your challenged to think and come to your own conclusion.

It's not just the Bible that's relied upon in a classic Jefferson education. Writings of history provide wonderful inputs to dwell upon. Plato, Socrates, the iliad, the list goes on and on. Understanding how the greatest minds of history made decisions and came to conclusions, expand your thought processes, so you learn to find the answer within. Kind of polar opposite from turning on the computer and asking it what it thinks, so you can be led to a decision, based on questionable input. Who knows how qualified, if at all, the author of what you read in cyberspace? Don't get me wrong the computer is a valuable research tool, but it is limited to the experience and ability of the information's author, most of whom are nom-de-plume.

Where has this taken us? Well we have a government full of politicians right now running our country based on classroom theory, they learned from teachers, who were also told how to think. Why does it take weeks and months to make a decision in Washington? Perhaps they don't have the reasoning ability taught by the classics to base their decisions upon? Others have walked in their shoes in history and faced similar problems, the results of their decisions are there to base Washington's policy's on, yet it goes ignored. Why? Because our education system has failed to teach to students think, and it trains it's graduates for a task. These were trained to be politicians and lawyers. The results speak for themselves.

Speak for the Individual!

America is under attack, not just by religious zealots who find utopia trying to bring as many of our citizens to their demise as possible, but with a sneakier enemy. Our threat is self inflicted, it comes from within, it's a product of stinking thinking. Somewhere we lost our way and decided to overlook the individual's rights. Our attitude of late is too look for what does the best for the most people. The problem being whenever you try to do mass good, you trample one person's individual rights. Case in point, Universal Health Care.......

While trying to do, "Good for the people", a phrase right out of The Communist Manifesto, Universal Healthcare, and other legislation designed to benefit large groups of citizens walks all over the individual.

Examine the premise of this movement. Government intends to take taxes from a small group of people and use that money to benefit a larger group. While Robin Hood was a good guy, he too was dealing in a socialist manner. When you take from one group to give to another, without their permission it's called theft, when they donate it willingly it's called charity. So as it's proposed, we are trampling the rights of a few to benefit the needs of the many, "For the good of the people." (Again, I note, a theme from The Communist Manifesto).

The country was founded on the rights of the individual. If we focus on the individual, the masses will be just fine. The upside will be it'll eliminate fraud.

Example...The Shriners,(a charity), helps individuals with burn issues, all at no cost! Is there fraud or abuse? Not a lick. Why? Because the focus on the individuals need. Example...St. Jude's Children's Hospital, again a charity, again based on individual need. Fraud? Nary a case!

Can this be applied through out the country in different models? Absolutely! Can this model bring back individual rights and serve the needy? You betcha! Money is provided through donations, with out the arm bending of imposed taxes. Does it work? They are all running in the black, without a deficit. Can Washington boast that? Not a chance! People give willingly and often to charities that use the money for good and responsibly. Do you have the same glow when you pay your taxes? Not in my domain!

Lettuce Fix Climate Change!

Global climate change enthusiasts tell us that the biggest producers of CO2 emissions turns out to be animals. The population of people and the beasts they raise create the bulk of the this harmful(?) gas. Now digging back into my sixth grade science book, I've been able to remind myself that this toxic (?) gas is recycled by plants through photosynthesis. Those wonderful plants take CO2 and neuter it's planet altering properties returning it back to the atmosphere as very earth friendly oxygen.

So this got me to thinking, a process most people avoid at all costs. Wouldn't the climate change solution lie in the production of more greenery? That kind of makes you take a second look at that salad you eat, huh? Are we doing more harm to the planet by destroying vegetables through consumption? Are the real villains here the vegetarians of the world? Every bite of Brussel sprouts is robbing the earth of life sustaining oxygen. I'm kind of proud to be a carnivore right now. After all I'm devouring a CO2 emitting animal and not uprooting a life sustaining, oxygen producing plant!

So I'm proposing a massive tax on all vegetables, and a tax incentive on steak. Prime rib should be a tax deduction, right there on your 1040 form. While Al Gore is off in the weeds trying to stop those factories, and send billions of our tax dollars to developing industrial nations like China,India, and Brazil, so they can invent more earth friendly industrial machines. (Wait aren't they the countries we're going to borrow that money from?) I propose we go right to the heart of the matter, vegetarians! Their thoughtless consumption of harmless plants is depriving our planet of life giving oxygen, they need to be taxed into submission! I should probably do a documentary, there might be a Nobel Peace Prize in this! The possibilities are endless! We could start a "Save the Carrot's" foundation! We can get supporters to surround carrot fields until they complete their life cycle and go to seed, insuring a future crop of planet saving CO2 suckers.

Absurd? Absolutely! So is the other side of the argument. While climate change is influenced by man, it's infinitesimal. We are called upon to be good stewards of this planet, and we should be. None of this calls for redistribution of money. Address the problems with common sense and stop vilifying and taxing what you don't perceive as helpful toward your cause.

Rethinking Jihad!

Disclaimer:( This blog will attack jihad and extreme radical Muslim behavior with common sense and humor. If this could offend you please skip today's post).

As we exchanged gifts and enjoyed holiday cheer yesterday another attempted jihad was foiled on a flight from Amsterdam to the United States. While every culture has their unreasonable extremists, (we have Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi), this attempt highlights the lack of effectiveness in bowing to dictators, closing detention facilities, and pandering to the world as another France or England. The only thing an extreme radical understands is the reward. So instead of closing the deterrents, claiming they are a recruiting tool for a civilization that creates it's own propaganda, we need to address the absurdity of the reward for achieving the ultimate goal. Just like explaining to Al Gore that after three blizzards in a week and Dallas having snow on Christmas for the first time in 29 years, their efforts might need reevaluation. So let's take a common sense look at jihad.

The reward to kill or maim infidels is a heaven with at least twenty virgins. Now far be it from me to poke holes in utopia but.... Does anyone else see a possible lack of foresight here? Is it truly heaven to be sentenced to keeping at least twenty sexually frustrated women happy? The to-do list alone would overwhelm the average man. You also have to look at the virgin thing, isn't that kind of a short term perk, if a perk at all? What's the reward after they are no longer virgins, sentenced to an eternity of the needs of 20 plus spouses? Personally it's beginning to sound like the polar opposite of heaven once we examine it closely. While having a quality relationship with one woman has certain demands, after all no relationship is without it's rough patches, can you imagine multiplying that by 20? Man is never without fault, and women are rarely shy about reaffirming those. The attention needs and supplying quality time for all those relationships is just too demanding, everyone involved is bound to operate at peak frustration. You see this is the result of short term thinking!

I know, I know...I'm a pig, but you can't deny a sane man would think twice about this utopia. Once the facts are brought to light, strapping on that bomb in the name of jihad should be the most distant thing on an extremist's mind. Someone should point out the consequences of their actions. You'll notice there are few, if any women suicide bombers! They don't fall for this line of hooey. The horror of dealing with twenty men at once isn't their idea of heaven. This is how you combat terrorism! You fight terror with terror.

A Christmas Blessing!

Ah, Christmas morn! What a time of excitement, the kids are scurrying to check out the booty Santa left them, and Mom and Dad are trying to monitor the chaos. It doesn't matter the age of the children, the excitement is just a little more reserved. It's a time for family, but also a time to reflect. First on the reason we celebrate Christmas, the birth of our Savior. Second we should remember all those around the world who aren't home with their families, because they chose to be a hero and protect our freedom. They are not only our hope, but for those of the world who can't defend themselves. How many a mother has been relieved to see the American soldier arrive and drive a rebel force from their town or village. Knowing their presence keeps them from having to hide for safety. How many times has she concealed her children so the boys won't be taken and her and the girls won't be abused? Around the world mothers sleep safer because these brave men and women have chosen to be apart from their families on this holiest of days.

That's what their sacrifice represents, hope. What better a present can they give to the world but hope? The soldier may not be able to chase away all the fear and tyranny, but they can supply hope. No greater love has a man or a woman than those who give of themselves, that others may live without fear. So today I honor the birth of Christ, and the sacrifice of our fighting men and women around the world. Please join me! To my hero, Merry Christmas Son!Stay safe, brave warriors!

A Christ-Mas Message!

Merry Christmas to all my readers and supporters. It's been a wild rise for this blog this year being created out of the ashes and gaining an amazing readership in a very short time. I can only attribute this to you. Sharing this message with like thinking people can only advance the cause.

May all of your family's enjoy a happy, safe, and Christ filled holiday. I'm looking forward to a great New Year filled with joy and peace. I hope we can all share prosperity and happiness in the days to come. This is my Christmas message to all of you!

I'd like to re enforce this is "our" blog. A place to vent, air your frustrations and approvals. Use the comment section at the end to let the world know how you feel. We've done a great job of sharing the message so far, but there is much work to be done. We can't rest until the leadership battle is won. The Senate just raised the debt ceiling to 12.4 trillion dollars, there are so many who just don't understand. They passed the healthcare fraud despite the will of the people. Our children are being dumbed down in the government run school system, and God has been removed from their lives. Intelligent conversation and an organized effort to pass along the message are our only weapons. We can take our country back, and get it on the right track. Heading toward prosperity, with liberty and freedom for all as our forefathers intended.

God Bless and Merry Christams

Ethics and Politics!

To: Bill Nelson, Florida Senator
Washington, D.C. Office
United States Senate
716 Senate Hart Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Phone: 202-224-5274
Fax: 202-228-2183

Dear Bill
It's time you and I had a chat. Why don't we sit down in this office we supply you to represent us? It has come to my attention that your not in tune with your job description and the code of ethics we demand of you. First of all as our representative we expect you to hold to a higher code of ethics and principles. Case in point...

In the current legislation being debated for healthcare you've seen fit to concede your vote for special considerations for the State of Florida. That's a no-no Bill! If it's not good for the whole country it's not good for us, no matter what backroom entitlements you've secured. While your first responsibility is to the people of Florida, we don't want to be nationally embarrassed by the selling of your vote for special considerations to our residents. Let me remind you the oath you took to defend The Constitution, The document that begins "We The People", not ,"We The People of Florida". If the legislation isn't good enough for us as it's written, it's not good enough for the country. May I remind you we are "One Nation Under God, with Liberty and Justice for All.", Not just a select few.

We the voters would like to be separate from the likes of the "Louisiana Purchase", and the Ben Nelson scandal. We sent you to Washington to represent us in an ethical manner. While we realize your efforts we well intentioned, let's keep our principles in tack. Vote for what's good for us as a nation, not what will get you reelection votes. If this medicine is so terrible you have to sugar coat it for us to swallow, vote no! Many of the seniors in Florida fought wars to keep this nation great, concessions like this demean that effort. They put their lives in danger for a free republic, not a socialistic nanny state. That's polar opposite of their intentions. Stand for Freedom Bill Nelson! Vote no.

A Healthmare!

We are about to get a Christmas present from Washington, healthcare reform. I just don't know where to start with this travesty, so let me just throw a dart on the board and see where it takes us. The first question that comes to my mind is: Why? Why commit political suicide to pass this legislation that the majority of voters don't approve of? Are they naive enough to think we'll forget the tax increase come November? Have they been told Obama will personally campaign in their district to rally the usually lazy voters that came to his aid in the past election? Or are they arrogant enough to think this is for our own good and we will just sit back and accept it?

I understand there is an amendment that'll force people to provide proof of health insurance come tax time. If you can't it'll cost you a fine of $750.00. Since estimates put those who are uninsured and could afford to buy it at the 20 million range so your gonna tick off a whole new demographic of voters. I was also wondering where that $750 is going to go? I don't believe it's going to provide those uninsured with insurance, so what does the revenue provide? With this amendment you've basically provided insurance companies with a, have to buy, monopoly. No incentive to make rate attractive if your forced to buy it. Isn't that the reverse of what this was trying to accomplish? Are they trying to push healthcare into a position where the public option looks like a better alternative, baiting health insurance companies to greedily raise their rates?

It's hilarious to watch the radical left wing politicians site the same arguments against this bill as the conservatives. Before the public option was removed those arguments were a bunch of hooey. Now the left has jumped on the conservative bandwagon in opposition, using the same speak as their arguments.

Another of the questions I'm pondering is if the Congressional Budget Office, who scores the bill, has taken into the considerations the cost of the perks the senate and congress have offered the hold out votes to sway them? What's the price tag for exempting Nebraska from medicaid increases forever? How about the $300 million given to Louisiana to influence their hold out vote? Those are just the deals made public, I'm sure their are plenty more in the closet.

I'll wrap it up here, with this thought. Do the sponsors of this bill really think we are stupid enough to think that you can provide more coverage for less money? How many of these rocket scientists think they can withstand the senior vote after cutting their benefits and raising their taxes? After all they are the most active of the voting public, and everyone knows they love their medicare. They did pay payroll taxes to have that entitlement.

America is tired of the, "Do something even if it's wrong", attitude. Our representatives are about to betray us. There is still time to give them a piece of your mind!

God Bless

Fishing 101 !

When I was a child about seven years old my Father called me over to his arm chair and asked me what I knew about fishing. Eager to spend time with my Dad I told him I really didn't know a thing, and asked him to teach me. He broke out his favorite spinning rod and proceeded to give me a lesson. As the lesson progressed he told me there was going to be a fishing contest for the children of our town over the Easter holiday weekend. He thought I'd like to participate. Heck ya! We worked on my casting ability for the next week and the Friday night of the contest, he woke me at midnight. Gave me a flashlight and pointed me to the back yard where I crawled on my hands and knees capturing night crawlers for bait. We arrived early that Saturday morning to find the pond lined with local children. The whistle was blown and the chaos ensued. First fish for a boy and girl was the goal. As the well stocked pond delivered it's trout to the banks, kids raced with fish toward the check in station. It was total insanity, but what a ball! There and then I was hooked on fishing. Through out my youth I won first fish, first three fish, biggest fish, and the top prize for the two day event.

In that little pond I was a pretty big fish! Having success there I broadened my horizons. We ventured to the river and the reservoir. We fished on vacation and just about every chance I got, there was a rod in my hand. I read every magazine I could on fishing, imagining what it would be like to live where the big fish were. I had a dream, and a vision.

While I had fleeting success I never really hit the mark until I found a fishing mentor. Someone to show me the ropes. Then I dedicated myself to action of that knowledge. Everyday I fished and everyday I challenged myself to improve. I watched and learned as the better fishermen around me revealed their techniques. Again I applied what I learned. Son of a gun, if it didn't pay off. I won my first contest with a 90 lb fish, it paid pretty well to be a winner. Then came the utopia of fishing. One night 120 miles off the coast of Florida I caught a snapper of a proportion like I've never seen. I was sure it was a record, and by golly it was! An IGFA All Tackle World Record! No fisherman could ever attain a higher accolade.

Here's the point. You can chase your goals and dreams as a hobby, or you can find someone who has the success you want and learn. The satisfaction of achieving that goal will only come when you take your endeavor seriously, and devote to it the time it deserves. There are the few lucky fishermen who trip on a big fish in life every now and then, but to be a consistent winner takes dedication to the task. Find the person who has accomplished or nearly accomplished your dream. Learn everything he knows. Then go apply the knowledge.

Keep your eye on the prize, and you'll never notice the bumps in the road on the journey!

God Bless

Naturally!

The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.

So just what is this Natural Law I'm always referring to? Cicero (106-43 B.C.), was a Roman political writer, who rose to the highest office of state (Roman Counsel)after studying law and philosophy. He tells us the Natural Law is a code of right reason from the Creator himself. The foundation of our country is based on it, it is basic in it's principles, comprehensible to the human mind, totally correct and morally right in it's general operation. Unless of course your a modern day left wing politician.

The concept of unalienable rights is based on Natural Law.
The concept of unalienable duties is also based on Natural Law.
Habeas Corpus, again Natural Law.
Limited government, Natural Law.
The separation of powers base, is in Natural Law.
A system of checks and balances, a product of Natural Law.
Laws protecting the family and the institution of marriage is again founded in Natural Law.
Restitution for damages, Natural Law
The right to bear arms, nestled in Natural Law.
The principle of no taxation without representation is a by product of Natural Law!

You can see our founding fathers were well versed in Natural Law. Anybody else think the Congress and Senate should be clued in? Here's what Cicero said about politicians like the ones we have in office....

"But the most foolish notion of all is the belief that everything which is just, is found in the customs or laws of nations....
What of the many deadly, the many pestilential statutes which nations put in force? These no more deserve to be called laws than the rules of a band of robbers might pass in their assembly. For if ignorant and unskillful men have prescribed deadly poison instead of healing drugs, these cannot possibly be called physicians prescriptions; neither in a nation can a statute of any sort be called a law, even through a nation, in spite of being a ruinous regulation has accepted it." (ibid)

Wow, is that applicable today or what? It kind of hits you right in the universal health care debacle. Cicero isn't done with these fools yet.....

"Justice can never be expected from laws arbitrarily passed in violation of the standards set up under the laws of Nature, or the laws of the Creator."

Now I don't know about you, but it sounds to me like like he was familiar with one of Al Gore's ancestors! They weren't immune to fools back then either! Cicero was a tough cuss, he wasn't done yet.....

"But if the principles of Justice were founded on the decrees of peoples, the edicts of princes, or the decisions of judges, then Justice would sanction robbery, adultery, and the forgery of wills, in case these acts were approved by the votes or decrees of the populace."

Or man is flawed, God gave us a set of rules, all we can do from there is mess them up. As we are today. Some how we decided that a commodity that is bought and sold is a God given right. We've also become so egotistical that we think we can control the climate. Politicians are attempting to redefine marriage, because man has decided the natural version doesn't fit his needs. The great minds of history have told us this won't work. Perhaps if we'd been taught true history in our government controlled school curriculum, we'd know this and be on a different path.

Play Ball!

I had a great discussion last night about even during this state of disarray in America there is still hope. Not the kind of hope we got sold in the last election, but the kind that comes from Americans concerned enough to preserve their freedom.

They realize and refuse to accept the lies Al Gore is spreading about climate change. The truth tampered with is truth lost. Americans know the science is being skewed to fit the need of the cause. Our citizens have focused on the fact this is just a ploy to empty our pockets by a global effort.

We also realize the health care is not a right but a commodity. Rights are not bought and sold. There is no crisis when over 80% of America has health care they are satisfied with. We are not naive enough to believe the government can make health care decisions for us better than we can ourselves.

We understand that this administration is advised by a staff that consists of 93% that have never held a job outside of teaching at a university or government service. It's apparent to us that you can't know how to run a free market system without experience. Theory applied without piratical experience is called an experiment.

It's understood by us that those relied upon to solve the banking and wall street financial issues were the root cause of the problem. They were the ones who originally took us down this road to disaster. Now they are empowered by this administration to solve the mess they created.

America knows that increased tax burdens will not stimulate job growth. We know the only job growth to date is within the government itself. Private industry is shrinking. We understand a government employed society cannot support itself as it creates nothing but debt. It's apparent to us the only path out of this is American ingenuity and entrepreneur's endeavors, driving the creation of goods and services that feed needs and niches'.

We possess a hope that there is real change on the horizon. Not the bill of goods we were sold a year ago, but a realignment of the personnel in Washington. We understand we hold the power of the vote and we are also prepared to use it to make Washington understand that politician's should work for and fear the voters.

We realize there is a new dawn on the horizon. The two party system is under review. We are tired of voting for the candidate who will do the least harm. We want representative's who represent. We want an America run on free market principles. Where businesses are allowed to fail and those who cause it are looking for employment, not subsidized by us. We know complaining about bonuses paid to company executives that are perceived to be too high, wouldn't be an issue if those failed companies weren't bailed out contrary to our wishes to begin with.

There is hope America! "We the people", are the hope. Change doesn't lie in the government, it lies within us. Government is suppose to be like a referee, there to enforce the rules of the game, not to determine the winners and the losers. They are merely on the field to see that the rules are adhered to. The game is defined by the Constitution.

The Foundation of Life!

Recently I got into a discussion about integrity, character, principles, and morals. It's become apparent to me after that conversation that those words are misunderstood. So it's hard to be a man or woman of character and integrity with principles and morals if you don't know what they are.

Integrity is having the where-with-all to know the difference between right and wrong and stay on the side of what you believe is right. Character is when you have the nerve to point out that wrong and take steps to correct it.

Example;
Little Susie is being called names in the schoolyard. A person of integrity doesn't participate. A person of character defends Little Susie at personal risk because it's the right thing to do. Character also demands you do what's right even if no one will ever find out. Character is integrity in action.

Your morality is what can be defined differently. You can have integrity and character but if your morals are bankrupt or compromised then it's all built on a foundation of sand. Build a strong moral foundation, re- enforce it with integrity, and have the character to speak out when it's violated.

Let's put it into a building. Morals are the pilings you drive into the ground to re-enforce your principles. Your principles are the foundation of your buildings's integrity. You principles should be laid on a foundation of solid bedrock. The integrity of your building defines how strong it is under adverse conditions. Does it leak when it rains, or is it drafty when the cold arrives? Will it sway when the wind blows? The character is how the building stands in the community. Is it a towering example of architecture or a run down slum tenant?

You can be a person of integrity and character, but if your defending misguided principles based on compromised morals, it doesn't stand for much. (See Bill Maher or Bill Clinton). I hope this helps define how and what we stand for. Are we committed to principles that don't waver and reflect what's good for humanity?

Voter's Remorse?

The most promising method of securing a virtuous and morally stable people is to elect virtuous leaders!

This is a principle of natural law, what our country's founding fathers based our society and it's laws on. I believe it was derived from this quote from Exodus 18:21

"...Thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness,(unjust gain); and place such over them, to be rulers..."

John Adams believed the future of the United States depended heavily on the virtue and the morality of the people. He said;

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."

Perhaps that's why Washington has found it necessary to amend it so frequently? It doesn't fit the needs of a morally bankrupt people? Recent actions by our politicians, (notice I refrained from using leaders here), suggest they are going to have their agenda accomplished and damn the people. Apparently they've stooped so low as to threaten to remove our strategic command from Nebraska unless that state's representative complies and votes for their legislation. Threatening local jobs and the state's economy. Fortunately that presidential advisor isn't familiar enough with the system to realize it doesn't work that way. Left wing bloggers, those anti-moral activists, have tried to influence The Komen foundation to drop Joe Lieberman's wife from their payroll because he was being stubborn to their cause. Apparently universal healthcare is more important than women's breast cancer. Anybody else seeing a mixed message here?

Cicero said, "Justice can never be expected from laws arbitrarily passed in violation of the standards set up under the laws of Nature or the laws of the Creator."

He went on to question those who legislate badly; "If so great a power belongs to the decisions and decrees of fools that the laws of Nature can be changed by their votes, then why do they not ordain that what is bad and baneful shall be considered good and salutary? Or if law can make Justice out of injustice can it not also make good out of bad?" (ibid)

In the immortal words of Dr. Phil, "How's this working for you?" The time for change message was never more applicable. We need to find leaders of high moral fiber and character. Integrity is important in a politician, and it's showing. It's time to quit settling for the lesser of two evils at the ballot box and demand standards!

Moral Authority!

In today's society it's not uncommon to hear people challenge you when you speak out or take a stand. Often times they use the age old arguement questioning your moral fiber. While man is a sinner and no man is perfect, you can shut down that line of defense by simply being the example. I heard a great talk the other day by a Baptist preacher on exactly this topic. He defined it as being a moral authority.

It's merely a matter of living your life reflecting the moral stand that you take. If you wish people to be truthful to you, never let your actions reflect half, or the untrue. Albert Jay Nock says this; "Truth tampered with is truth lost." You have to walk the walk, as well as talk the talk. Eliminate the "gray areas."

It's not uncommon to turn to people we respect for advice on issues because they reflect the code of moral authority. To be a person who's opinion is respected and reveared you have to stand for integrity, character and have an unquestionable high moral fiber. Those individuals realized a long time ago there are no special deals. We all must strive to earn others respect by doing as we say.

A clear indicator of your level of moral authority is how often people ask advice on problems. They seek your wisdom because your the example of the life they look to live. Michael Jordan built a brand on his code of ethics with the "Be like Mike" slogan. How far could that have run without character and morals to back it up?

When a challenge in your life arises you've not handled well, speak out and tell the whole truth. Your credibility can be salvaged. Tiger Woods is a great, timely example of this. We all held him to a higher level, as a golf phenom he had to be something special. Well, it turns out he was human and had flaws as well. But what complicated his situation was deafening silence. The truth not spoken is as good as a lie. It's called a cover up. How much simpler would his life be had he spoken out admitting a sex addiction and bringing steps to his recovery to light? Well that's the decision we all face in times of trouble. Are we the moral authority we claim to be? Are we men and women of our word? Can you be a positive example? All great questions, humanity awaits your answers......

Part 3!

So let's review. In the beginning God created and ruled man. God gave man his freedom to do as he wished, so natural law guided the primitive society's justice system. So it looked like this....

God>Man

Man became uncomfortable answering directly to God. He is a deity after all, kind of frightening when he unleashes his thunder, so we invented an intermediary, a king! The king would dictated God's will and administered justice. It kept the fire and brimstone out of the mix. So man didn't have to cower in front of God's greatness. The above equation morphed into something that resembled this.

God>King>Man

Well as these things often do the king usurped his power. (Keep this in your notes, you'll see an eerily similar phenomena later in this post). The king decided he was the ultimate power and his ego tried to edge God out (EGO=edge God out). He tried to dictate to the people what God, or religion, they could worship. It played out like this

King>Man>God

The devout would have nothing to do with this so they hopped a boat to America to find a land where they could worship as they chose. You know, express the freedom God had granted them. They wanted.....

God>Man

The original equation? Fickle aren't we? Take away our freedom to worship and we split for a new venue! Well, as cool as that seemed, there was one outstanding issue. The devout that bolted were broke. So they promised a company, if they'd lend them a ship for transportation, they could have some of the spoils of the new promised land. Since that company was under a king's reign, his rules applied to the new settlement. So it looked like this....

King>God>Man

Again the king flexed his muscles and tried to tell us what to do. Well, that wasn't the original idea so we evicted the king and his soldiers in the name of freedom. The United States of America was formed, with rights endowed to us by our Creator. We made sure all the freedoms we were denied under a tyrant were ours. Written down and protected by our Constitution. Declared for all the world to see, to be denied no man. So we won our freedom back. What God had intended was now ours to keep forever. Written on parchment and sealed by the blood of patriots. We had.....

God>Man

Man is flawed, we have flawed thinking, so we formed a government. Will we ever learn? That program looked like this.....

God>Government>Man

Government is created by man so it's flawed too.As hard as the founding fathers tried to keep government in the back seat, it failed. It's become a power hungry entity, with an ego. So like the tyrant king, it hates competition. Guess who gets the short end of the stick again in the pecking order? A cross between confused priorities, and a misguided attempt to provide religious freedom for all, took God out of our government. Leaving the least desirable situation once again....

Government>Man

Now with God out of the mix; Who's going to dictate to the government policy? Enter the climate enthusiasts. You'll find most of them to be the same people who screamed for freedom of no religion. Nifty coincidence, huh? They have decided that something God created and left us to be good stewards of, was to be the dictating factor; our planet. They believe it should look like this.....

Planet>government>man

While having a clean environment to live in is a wonderful idea, it's still under God's reign. Removing Him from the equation is just misguided priorities. As my two previous posts pointed out the ideal configuration is.....

God>man

God left us a wonderful set of guidelines in the Ten Commandments. Good stewardship of the earth is just a matter of understanding we are placed here to do no man harm. "Do unto others, as you'd have them do unto you," it doesn't come in a less expensive form. Why legislate, tax, overcomplicate what's already in place? Because it's economically beneficial to do so, and it satisfies a need for power! It feeds the governmental beast's needs.

We have a choice. Government exists at our whim. How about we go back to the days when we were accountable to our creator? It removes the temptation for fraud, and eliminates the tendancy to exploit the system. Let's drop ego from the formula, and return to our roots. How can man, a flawed creation, dictate morality? The simple answer is....We can't!

Part 2!

Part 2

So back to my original question. Why does government exist? The short answer is;

To economically exploit those it rules!

Let that soak in for a second. ..... You pay in the neighborhood of 50 percent of your income to a government who takes their share for administration, then is suppose to redistribute the balance for your welfare. So anybody want to tell me exactly what the government has done with that cash to aid them in their lives? The bureaucracy they've created has failed on every front! 9/11 and other terrorist acts have proven they don't provide adequate security. I might inject here at quite a hefty price tag. Their creation of the federal reserve, designed to protect our country from economic troubles has overseen countless depressions, stock market crashes, bank failures, and economic hard times. Another failure! The welfare system mandated by our government is as far from it's mission statement as it can be. Instead of lifting people out of poverty it has ensured generations of entitlement and no hope for rising out of economic disparity. It has promoted a life style of poverty. Unemployment insurance...insures there will be a plethora of unemployed people! So let me ask you...how do you suppose government healthcare and protecting the environment through cap and trade legislation is going to work out?

Dr. Sigmund Freud said it best;" it cannot even be said that the government has shown any disposition to suppress crime, but only to safeguard it's own monopoly of crime."

I noted before, since man tends to always satisfy his needs and desires with the least possible exertion,so he'll employ the political means. The production and distribution of wealth created by us the ruled, is stolen from us by the political means. Our economic boon is appropriated with our permission by the unfunded, non- producing politico's to abuse under the guise of our own good.

Here's the bottom line, (A quote right out of Joe Biden's mouth), government only exists because we want it to. Take away the income and watch them leave Washington like rats off a sinking ship.

Nancy Pelosi's husband in an incredibly wealthy man, why do you suppose he separates himself from the woman he loves for long periods of time? My guess is the way she hands out cash he's protecting his fortune! Sorry, I thought a little humor was needed here.

Anyway the point being, we have no need to fear the government, they exist only because we fund them. They have no discernable purpose. Everything they do is either failing or bordering on failure. Defund the whole lot of them and see how many patriots we really have. How much service do you suppose we'd get out of Washington for free? Those who sign on for that program are genuinely dedicated to the service of our country.

There is but one solution, remove career politicians. Then we need to insert term limits. Eliminate the entitlements they've voted themselves, and isolate the ruling body from special interests. The future of the country is being held in the balance. Man has a tendency to feed from the trough of entitlements when left to his own means. He will, as I said before, take the path of least effort to accomplish his needs and desires. Remove the political means to serve that temptation, and we'll all be surprised how productive we can become!

Government Exposed!

America, we are being scammed.., taken, robbed, fooled, flim flammed, having the wool pulled over our eyes, bait and switched, basically taken advantage of. Who's doing this skullduggery? Well, it's kind of a self inflicted wound, but would you be surprised to know it was our government? It's not a party thing, neither democrats, republicans, libertarians, nor independents are to blame. It's the concept of government, the whole thing is a ruse.

First let's examine government. Where did it come from? It was initiated to provide security. People were guided prior to government by social order and religion. Tribal law was handled by the elders. Religion dictated morals and conduct. Not too far into early man's existence people began to acquire possessions.

Enter the government, without an economic purpose, government has no reason to exist. Author Albert Jay Nock says it this way; "Since man always tends to satisfy his needs and desires with the least possible effort, he will employ the political means."

So what we're being told is government exists to redistribute our wealth. Think about it. What does government produce? Nothing! Just so you understand how undesirable government is, it has never been applied without force. Look at our own, England tried to enforce their rule over us, we resisted, had a war to proclaim our freedom, then impeached all that effort by installing a government of our own. At the onset it seemed innocent. Every nation has to be governed, no? After all we have to protect our newly formed nation. We traded freedom for security. That was the first compromise of our freedom, it went downhill from there. We had no defined government when we over threw England, we did have leadership though. Social and religious morality guided our war efforts and the initiation of our new republic.

Critics would stop me here and say; "But government protects our borders, maintains our army, and enforces our laws." To that I say, pshaw! What government was in place when we evicted England from our land? All our society needed was an injustice, a cause, and leadership. Instant independence! Well you might queerie; "Who would enact and enforce our laws?" Let me refer you to The Ten Commandments, it doesn't get any simpler than that. Wait, I stand corrected.... defined by King Pausole, a character in Pierre Louÿs' Les aventures du roi Pausole (The Adventures of King Pausole, published in 1901), he had the simple motto of:

1) Hurt no man!
2) Then do as you please.

Every law, commandment, edict, proclamation, legal decision, writ, amendment, etc, etc, etc, is based on these two simple principles. The rest of the legislation is just fodder. It's basically how the original tribal leaders decided how the group should be led. Those accessory laws are designed to do nothing but take power and income from you. You were sold this bag of dung under the guise of security, and they sold it well.

That's enough for today. I don't want to lose the message by exposing it all at once.I hope this expanded your mind. See part 2!

I Believe...You Need to Reconsider!

This artical sports fans was posted in the Somerset, New Jersey newspaper, and was brought to my attention by my sister. She was appalled her children had to attend school under these conditions.

SOMERVILLE – A 16-year-old Bridgewater-Raritan High School junior suspected of planning a Columbine-type killing spree at the school was taken into custody on Thursday after police executing a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence found gun ammunition, black powder and explosive devices. Investigators said the male student allegedly made threatening comments towards a police school resource officer and other students....

Well you know I can't keep quiet about the lack of common sense so posted below is my reply to this story in the paper's blog......

When you consistently take aim to shoot yourself in the foot occasionally you hit the mark. We've decided that God and the morality of the Ten Commandments have no place in our public schools. Then have the audacity to be appalled when behavior like this is revealed. Just a couple of things here that might have been taught to help keep this child on track....

Thou shalt not kill
Love Thy neighbor
Treat other as you'd like to be treated
Etc,etc

Now I realize these policies might offend someone in New Jersey, but they've never killed anyone, nor have they attempted to. Can you say the same for uninviting the Judeo-Christian principles this country was founded upon from the classrooms? It's not surprising morality was absent when role was called, it's not taught.

Whether you're a Christian or not, you'd sleep better knowing that you neighbors believe and attempt to live by the Ten Commandments. I'm believe you'd also be more comfortable if the children who attend school alongside yours believed in some deity and were guided by a code of morals. This, citizen's of New Jersey, is the result of you allowing a selfish minority to strip your children of a quality education in the name of principles that don't exist. No where in our Constitution, Bill of Rights,or Declaration of Independence, is it required that there be a separation of church and state.

I encourage you to speak out when you see the same insanity complained about. We've been too quiet, too long. Or you could home school and take your chances that morals become a fad!

A Tale of Two Dogs!

Have you ever wondered why a dog chases it's tail? I came across this explanation the other day and I thought I'd share......

A wise old bloodhound came upon a young pup spinning in circles chasing it's tail. After several minuets of watching this futile effort he'd had all he could stand and inquired,"Son, what on earth are you trying to accomplish?" Well the youngster stopped long enough to catch his breath and replied,"Sir, I've just returned from the university where I studied dog psychology. We've learned that happiness lies within a dog's tail. Surely I'd be considered successful if I could catch my tail and achieve happiness." With this the bloodhound sat back on his haunches and scratched his chin. After a minute of internal deliberation he answered the pup. " Son, I've not been as blessed as you to have attended a school of higher learning, but I have found this to be true. Happiness is indeed based within a dog's tail. The secret is this; Live a life of character and service to others, and happiness and success, like your tail, will follow you wherever you go."

So my question to you is this....Are you chasing happiness and success, or does it follow you where ever you go? Don't chase what you can attract! Personal growth will help you develop the "attractive" qualities that will bring success to your door. I'm sure you know how silly it looks to others when you chase your tail!

Hey Joe.....Where'd Ya Lay Our Money Down?

The current administration is fond of pointing out they took the 785 billion dollars in your tax money and saved or created a plethora of jobs. Now before I highlight how some of that stimulus money was spent, I'd like to point out according to the 18 million dollar, (tax money paid for remodeled web site), recovery.org, that 10% of that 785 billion dollars is unaccounted for. Missing, AWOL, can't find it. If my math is correct that's 78.5 billion dollars unaccounted for. That's a lot of coin! Since President Obama appointed Vice President to oversee this program, I'd like Joe to answer me this..... Where the heck is our money? That kind of cash could have created quite a few millionaires! While you ponder that let's look at how well Joe has distributed some of the cash.....

At the top of the list is a $5 million grant from the Department of Energy to create a geothermal energy system for the Oak Ridge City Center shopping mall in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The main problem with the project, is the fact the mall has been losing tenants for years and is mostly empty.

Two million dollars in stimulus money went to build a replica railroad as a tourist attraction in Carson City, Nev.

A dinner cruise company based in Chicago received nearly $1 million in funds to combat terrorism.

Half a million dollars went to Arizona State University to study the genetic makeup of ants to determine distinctive roles in ant colonies; $450,000 went to the University of Arizona to study the division of labor in ant colonies.

The State University of New York at Buffalo won $390,000 to study young adults who drink malt liquor and smoke marijuana. The National Institutes of Health got $219,000 in funds to study whether female college students are more likely to “hook up” after drinking alcohol.

The University of Hawaii collected $210,000 to study the learning patterns of honeybees, and $700,000 went to help crab fishermen in Oregon recover lost crab pots

Now I hate to be critical, but I must. Not only are these projects ridiculous based on their merits alone, none of these are long term employment opportunities. If your going to "invest" in America's future, should the jobs you attempt to create in fact have a future?

I could go on all day, and I just might, only not in this blog. So I hope the people I meet today are prepared.Mind you this is just a sampling of the phenomenal waste of the income you've donated to keep Washington operating in our best interest. I'm sure there is much more, I'm just not sure the average human can remain sane enough to root it all out!

Pray for us!

We're Mad as Hell, I Hope We Don't Take Anymore!

The founding fathers designed this country to operate politically so that elected officials respected and followed the wishes of the people who voted for them. The consequences were, they got the boot and someone else represented those voters, if they failed. Currently it appears that our representatives in Washington don't feel they need to act on our behalf and are off pursuing their own agenda.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.

Now does this sound like a formula for success at the polls? Truth be told, Congress is going to pass some form of healthcare and cap and trade. The details don't concern them, as they will amend the legislation later to get the designed objective. As long as they have a bill they can mold it later to suite their needs.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government's policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry.

The evidence stands before us in the Federal Reserve Act, pass in the early 1900's. The bill included concessions that maligned the writer's objectives, but since it's passing it's been amended over 100 times to create the legislation they originally intended.

Men are angrier than women, and voters over 40 are more angry than those who are younger. A majority of those over 40 are Very Angry. Only 25% of under-30 voters share that view.

So Congress knows this, bickering over petty details is just a show for we the voters. The deal has been cut and we are going to have a bill. Once the bill is on the table accessories can be added. So while they're going to try to remain close to their original goal, the outcome is moot. Down the road they will conform these acts of legislation to the intended original form.

The data suggests that the level of anger is growing. The 71% who are angry at federal government policies today is up five percentage points since September.

Even more stunning, the 46% who are Very Angry is up 10 percentage points from September.

As you can see America isn't happy according to recent polls. The only way to combat this type of indifference is to flush everyone in office and begin anew. Vote in people who are not career politicians and set term limits.

Among the nation’s Political Class, just six percent (6%) are angry. However, among those with more Mainstream, or populist, views, 85% are angry. A majority of Americans today hold views that can be described as Mainstream or populist. Very few align with the Political Class.

We have drifted as far as we need to from our founders design. Politicians no longer fear the voter, we fear the politicians. It's useless to voice our opinion, they have their own agenda. It's time to take back American and put it back on course. The phrase "of the people, for the people, and by the people." has be lost. If they don't present OUR agenda; can they truly be called representatives?

God Bless

All Hands on Deck!

It's a drag race to see which is a bigger farce, climate change or universal healthcare. Frankly it's an event I prefer not to watch, but since the are both going to have an enormous impact on our daily lives and the economy, we should know the facts. Here's the most recent developments.....

Bloomberg has reported ..... A glitch in satellite sensors caused scientists to underestimate the extent of Arctic sea ice by 500,000 square kilometers (193,000 square miles), a California- size area, the U.S. National Snow and Ice Data Center said.

So the ice cap isn't melting as global warming enthusiasts would like us to believe. Actually it's exactly the same size as when they originally began tracking it's size back in the 1970's. So, Florida and California aren't going to fall into the sea anytime soon, nor is the polar bear's hunting grounds diminishing. In fact the endangered polar bears that Al Gore loves to site as victims of Global warming are enjoying record population numbers. The worldwide population of the polar bear in the 1970's was hovering about 5000 animals. Today after all this ruining of the earth, it stands at 25,000 animals. Again another crock of hooey! Let's call this effort what it is. A money making scheme to trade carbon credits,(Which will have little to no impact on CO2 emissions, nor climate change), bundled with another attempt to control our daily lives with unnecessary government regulation. While I'm the first to be sure we are good stewards of this planet God has given us, this chicken little attitude is just a fraud. If Washington is allowed to perpetuate this fraud it'll cost us jobs, money, and go a long way toward collapsing the economy.

As if that isn't enough, we are also under attack by a health care proposal. Let me enlighten you as to who's game plan is blueprinting this assault. I'm sure you've all heard about the wack job couple who invaded the White House dinner party. Would you be surprised to learn it may have been just a screen to divert attention from another on the guest list? I have to say it worked rather well as the media is busy with this useless story, while ignoring that convicted felon and author, Robert Creamer graced the ball.

Rep. Schakowsky’s husband, Robert Creamer, used to be the leader of Citizen Action/Illinois. He also founded its predecessor, Illinois Public Action, in which Ms. Schakowsky served as Program Director. He runs a political consulting firm, the Strategic Consulting Group, which lists ACORN and the SEIU among its clients and which made $541,000 working for disgraced former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.
Creamer resigned from Citizen Action/Illinois after the FBI began investigating him for bank fraud and tax evasion at Illinois Public Action. He was convicted in 2006 and sentenced to five months in federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana, plus eleven months of house arrest.

While in prison—or “forced sabbatical,” he called it—Creamer wrote a lengthy political manual, Listen to Your Mother: Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win (Seven Locks Press, 2007).

The book was endorsed by leading Democrats and their allies, including SEIU boss Andy Stern—the most frequent visitor thus far to the Obama White House—and chief Obama strategist David Axelrod, who noted that Creamer’s tome “provides a blueprint for future victories.”

In the book, Creamer draws lessons from decades of experience on the radical left, including the teachings of arch-radical Saul Alinsky, and several episodes from Rep. Schakowsky’s political career. He also lays out a “Progressive Agenda for Structural Change,” which includes a ten-point plan for foisting universal health care on the American people in 2009:

“We must create a national consensus that health care is a right, not a commodity; and that government must guarantee that right.”
“We must create a national consensus that the health care system is in crisis.”
“Our messaging program over the next two years should focus heavily on reducing the credibility of the health insurance industry and focusing on the failure of private health insurance.”
“We need to systematically forge relationships with large sectors of the business/employer community.”
“We need to convince political leaders that they owe their elections, at least in part, to the groundswell of support of [sic] universal health care, and that they face political peril if they fail to deliver on universal health care in 2009.”
“We need not agree in advance on the components of a plan, but we must foster a process that can ultimately yield consensus.”
“Over the next two years, we must design and organize a massive national field program.”
“We must focus especially on the mobilization of the labor movement and the faith community.”
“We must systematically leverage the connections and resources of a massive array of institutions and organizations of all types.”
“To be successful, we must put in place commitments for hundreds of millions of dollars to be used to finance paid communications and mobilization once the battle is joined.”
Creamer adds: “To win we must not just generate understanding, but emotion—fear, revulsion, anger, disgust.”

Democrats have followed Creamer’s plan to the letter. They have claimed our health care system is in crisis despite polls showing the overwhelming majority of Americans are happy with the care they receive. They have—with the help of President Obama—circulated false horror stories about Americans dying for lack of health care and health insurance.

They have targeted the health insurance industry, with Rep. Schakowsky herself promising to “put the private insurance industry out of business,” though it is a top employer in Illinois.

Democrats have cut deals with the pharmaceutical industry and the American Medical Association, among others. They have brought in the President himself to tell wavering “Blue Dog” Democrats that their re-election chances depend on passing health care reform. They have bused in SEIU members to town hall meetings, and used rabbis and pastors to back health care reform from the pulpit.

They have used a complex, interconnected web of organizations—including HCAN and Organizing For America, the former Obama campaign arm—to whip up support and silence opposition. And they have benefited from hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising to convince the public to support bills that their representatives have never read themselves.

Creamer wrote his plan in 2006, explicitly proposing that it be carried out in 2009, once a “progressive Democrat is elected President” and once Democrats could count on 60 votes in the Senate. It is curious that Creamer, sitting in prison, could have predicted the details and the timing of President Obama’s legislative agenda so precisely.

The likeliest explanation is that Creamer helped design the Democrats’ health care strategy. That would explain why President Obama made health care an obsession in 2009, when it was only one among many issues he raised on the campaign trail in 2008. It would explain the role of several overlapping left-wing groups, including Creamer’s own Citizen Action/Illinois.

It would explain why HCAN was particularly aggressive at Rep. Schakowsky’s own town hall meeting. And Creamer’s involvement would also explain his high profile after being released from prison. He worked for the Obama campaign, training volunteers at “Camp Obama.” He has continued his work at the Strategic Consulting Group, leading “many of the country’s most significant issue campaigns,” he claims. He was also at the White House state dinner last month—together with Stern, Axelrod, and other cronies—despite the fact that ex-convicts are usually barred from such events.

Creamer’s broader aim, as laid out in his book, is the “democratization of wealth” in America and “progressive control of governments around the world.” As he recently wrote on his blog at the Huffington Post: “If we succeed in winning health insurance reform we will have breached the gates of the status quo. We will demonstrate that fundamental change is possible. Into that breach will flow a wave of progressive change.”

It is a radical agenda, making use of Rep. Schakowsky’s public profile, a network of far-left organizations, and Creamer’s old friends in the White House. It began in federal prison, and has unfolded exactly as intended, over the protests of thousands of ordinary Americans across the nation. It will not end with health care. It will continue until Mr. Creamer’s Alinskyite dream of radical change is realized—or until voters stand up and put a stop to it in 2010.

Now you know who has designed the plan of attack for the democrats healthcare drive. If you notice his plan outline, Washington has achieved every one of those goals. The endorsement by David Axlerod, Obama's chief advisor and right hand man, explains they are extremely familiar with this "blueprint for success." America is being scammed by a career felon all in the name of better healthcare.

I for one have had it. These assaults on our freedoms can no longer be tolerated! We are in a fight for America and the principles it was founded on. Please share this information with others, we need a public outcry.

God Bless!

Hot Air Conference!

Today I want to discuss the apex of hypocrisy, the climate change summit in Copenhagen. This report was brought to my attention by one of my watchdogs and I thought I'd share parts of this article in the UK Telegraph. Here's some of the highlights.....

On a normal day, Majken Friss Jorgensen, managing director of Copenhagen's biggest limousine company, says her firm has twelve vehicles on the road. During the "summit to save the world", which opens here tomorrow, she will have 200.

Ms Jorgensen reckons that between her and her rivals the total number of limos in Copenhagen next week has already broken the 1,200 barrier. The French alone rang up on Thursday and ordered another 42. "We haven't got enough limos in the country to fulfil the demand," she says. "We're having to drive them in hundreds of miles from Germany and Sweden."

And the total number of electric cars or hybrids among that number? "Five," says Ms Jorgensen. "The government has some alternative fuel cars but the rest will be petrol or diesel. We don't have any hybrids in Denmark, unfortunately, due to the extreme taxes on those cars. It makes no sense at all, but it's very Danish

The airport says it is expecting up to 140 extra private jets during the peak period alone, so far over its capacity that the planes will have to fly off to regional airports – or to Sweden – to park, returning to Copenhagen to pick up their VIP passengers

As well 15,000 delegates and officials, 5,000 journalists and 98 world leaders, the Danish capital will be blessed by the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio, Daryl Hannah, Helena Christensen, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Prince Charles. A Republican US senator, Jim Inhofe, is jetting in at the head of an anti-climate-change "Truth Squad." The top hotels – all fully booked at £650 a night – are readying their Climate Convention menus of (no doubt sustainable) scallops, foie gras and sculpted caviar wedges

It seems Al Gore isn't the only one with questionable carbon usage habits! The article goes on to say....

According to the organisers, the eleven-day conference, including the participants' travel, will create a total of 41,000 tonnes of "carbon dioxide equivalent", equal to the amount produced over the same period by a city the size of Middlesbrough.

The temptation, then, is to dismiss the whole thing as a ridiculous circus. Many of the participants do not really need to be here. And far from "saving the world," the world's leaders have already agreed that this conference will not produce any kind of binding deal, merely an interim statement of intent

They end it by saying.....

The hot air this week will be massive, the whole proceedings eminently mockable, but it would be far too early to write off this conference as a failure.

You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried! It's like watching an actress do a photo shoot for PITA in a mink stole. If your going to support a cause, act committed, not as if you need to be committed. Global climate change enthusiasts wonder why the rest of the world won't get on board? Here's a thought, quit lying, skewing the facts, and being the biggest offenders of carbon output. Then maybe someone will take you seriously! Right now this is just exposing itself for what it is, faux concern applied to create a new industry that regulates and overtaxes the people, with absolutely no concern for reducing carbon output.

A Timeless Lesson!

Citizens sacrificing freedom for security isn't a new problem. Even way back in biblical times this kind of stinking thinking came to pass. I was reminded of this while reading the Bible: I Samuel 7,8 chapter 8. When Samuel was old and the spiritual leader over Israel, he appointed his sons to be judges. Well they fell to temptation and accepted bribes and became corrupt. The people of Israel approached Samuel fed up and asked him to appoint a king as they knew he was getting old and without his leadership they would be lost. They held little hope for the future as they've already seen his sons were not up to the task. The Bible tells us Samuel asked the Lord for guidance and here's what he told him. The Lord explained his followers weren't rejecting Samuel's leadership but the freedom the Lord had allowed the people of Israel. He told them go explain the consequences of having a monarchy to the people and see if they don't realize how good they have it now.

Samuel explained to the people of Israel that a king would take their sons and appoint them for himself, to run his chariots and be his horseman. He would appoint captains to rule over you to enforce his edicts. A king would take your daughters and enslave them to his service. He'd take their crops and your domestic help and lastly he'd take your sheep. This is the price of being "taken care of."

Samuel was trying to explain it was better to freely serve the Lord and answer to His law,(The Ten Commandments), than to appoint an king to edict his own will. Absolute power corrupts absolutely Sadly the story goes on to tell us the people of Israel insisted in moving forward rejecting God given freedom for the security of someone telling them what to do and how to live.

This is a great example of how throughout history foolish people have rejected the advantages of living free for the security and constraints of being "taken care of." Hey, this angered the Lord, his people rejected freedom, ergo rejecting Him, but he let them learn the hard way. Are we being taught the same lesson?

Politicians, men and women, who insist religion has no place in our government are seeking to enslave us to their rule. They look to tax us out of the fruits of our labor, so they can live off us. They indoctrinate our children in their schools to see the advantages of being"taken care of", as if there is no other way. We were born free men and women, answering only to our God above, yet like the children of Israel we yearn the comfort of security. God has warned them through Samuel, and countless examples in history has shown us this is never a good idea. Only the weak of spirit turn to others for security, and the result is always disaster.

So with that in mind, who's for universal health care? Extended unemployment benefits? Cap and trade? Taking Christ out of Christmas? How about welfare? Food stamps? Or are we a people who value freedom, praise our God, and shoulder the responsibility of taking care of our brothers ourselves? Food for thought!

Uncle Sam Wants You!

I was a little hard on Washington yesterday but hey, sometimes we need tough love. There is a government entity I adore, the military! Think about it, here's what they offer when you apply for service,(note I said service not job, because everyone in government is serving the public). First they teach discipline. How handy would that be in Washington? Second, they teach leadership! Whoa, we might be on to something here! They teach respect. They insure your physically fit for service. Okay I just had a moment here...Can you imagine Barney Frank on a obstacle course? They promote honor, character, courage and American pride! They inspire you to defend the flag and everything it stands for (one nation under God and all). Soldiers learn to defend those who can't defend themselves. They learn to protect our borders. Is it just me, or is all this the basics that are absent in Washington?

Here's a thought....How about we send all government employees to boot camp? From the interns and secretaries to the congressmen and women them selves! After they've learned they are here to serve and the following lessons....
Discipline
Leadership
Respect
Honor
Character
Courage
Physical fitness
Etc
Then they can assume a position in government. Perhaps the secular progressive's in Washington might learn to respect and love the flag, protect our borders, and be fiscally disciplined. Hey, it could happen!

The Forest and the Trees

So, we had a job summit in Washington yesterday. It's a great start, whenever you face a problem you should first seek to understand. The summit brought together academics, corporate executives, economists, financial experts and union leaders to discuss ideas for accelerating job creation during the worst labor market conditions in a generation. Suspiciously absent were The Chamber of Commerce, which by the definition of it's title, might be a key factor to job stimulation! Could it's open criticism of this administration's policies excluded it from the forum? Also noticeably absent were the representatives from manufacturing and small business, two keys to job growth. Again both of them have not been shy pointing out the short comings of this administration's economic policies.

Petty? Absolutely! If you want what's best for a nation you should consider all options and opinions. Not just ones that agree with you. One can't help but wonder if this was not a, "What's in it for me", type scenario. I'm suspicious they weren't scheming to take advantage of an unemployment crisis for profit. Time will tell.

Why did they seek outside input? After all they are very self contained in the White House! I propose the reason being, they don't have a clue! Only 8% of Obama's administration has ever held a job in the private sector, the lowest of any admistration. Never has there been a reason to meet a payroll or turn a profit as they've either been employed by the government or in the academic world. Either produces nothing but hot air, and last time I looked that was free so it's not a marketable nor a consumable product. Since real life business problems are nothing any of the advisors ever faced, it's hard to map out a plan for job recovery. They only know how to produce jobs by enacting legislation that needs employees to over see it, and our tax dollars to pay them. Garbage in, garbage out!

So let's review. During the worse economic time of our country, and while facing massive job loss, we are led and controlled by a bunch of theory using teachers who never applied their knowledge. Not just a bunch, but the lowest ever administration of never employed in the private sector, this nation has ever seen. I know I feel better! Just look at the results so far. They took their book knowledge and applied the stimulus package to keep unemployment under 8.5%, it's now 10.2%. How do they explain that debacle? Well VP Joe Biden says; "No one could have predicted the depth of the recession we were in.". Well, no one without hands on knowledge, that's for sure. Just a thought Joe...If you'd actually spent the money you stole from us for job creation, rather than sit on it to use to butter up the upcoming questionable district's political races so they vote in your favor, could it have prevented unemployment rising? $500 billion sits idle in a slush fund for this administration to dole out to districts they might lose in the upcoming elections. Over 2/3 of the 780 billion in stimulus has yet to be introduced into this ailing economy. You don't need a degree from Harvard to realize the closer to those elections that money is used, the better memory those teetering districts will have toward who donated those funds stolen from America, for improvements in their districts.

If you really want to improve our economy and lower unemployment. Pay the deficit down down using that stimulus money as a start. It'll strengthen our dollar. Lower taxes and freeze government spending, again giving our dollar the buying power worldwide it deserves. Quit the healthcare, cap and trade, and any other massive legislation that'll burden our taxpayers needlessly. Use our resources, they are the key to job growth and financial independence. To truly be an independent nation we have to in fact be independent, both politically and financially. We need to be self sufficient and the overflow used for foreign trade. This will balance our economy, create jobs and pull us out of this slump. Inspire entrepreneurial ventures by keeping the profit in the decision to move forward. The benefits have to outweigh the risks. That'll create jobs, growth , and prosperity!

Dollars and Sense!

I have to be honest with you, I feel we can resolve a huge problem in society by ourselves, especially if we are parents. So many times I meet people who have just self destructed financially, and it's such a simple cure. A financial education needs to be instilled in every child from day one and if it were, we'd never have the likes of Nancy Pelosi irresponsibly spending 35k a quarter on bottled water and flowers, paid for by we, the taxpayers.

Financial wisdom ideally starts at a young age, but can be learned by people young and old. It's difficult as we live in an immediate gratification world. You can have everything with no money down and easy payments. The trick is self denial and financial disipline. Every purchase must be defined as a want, or a need. Here's the simple formula.

When income enters your life, step one is to take 10% and give back. If your a person of faith, give it to your church, if not, a charity of your choice will do. Here's the key to success, put away at least another 10% in your savings, more if your budget permits. Next we take the remainder and make a budget. Write down your financial responsibilities and dole out the respective amounts. Give yourself an allowance and write down what you purchase with it. EVERYTHING! You'll be amazed how quickly you run through it on just trivial stuff like, gum and coffee.

When you have a need or desire to purchase something, pay cash. Figure the total and raise the price of the purchase with a matching amount going into savings. This is the trick part. Learn to deny yourself until you've earned your purchase. It's the key to wealth and financial success.

Now we all want a better life for our children. Parents struggle to give their kids more than what they had. Herein lies the problem. So many times life fortunes are passed on without proper financial education, leading to short term glee and long term regret. Your not doing your children any service by blessing them with money they are not responsible with. Do them a favor and teach them financial responsibility from the get go. Financial windfalls are subject to the same rules,10% to charity, and the balance to savings, budget liabilities, and any want they have must be matched equally to your savings plan. Teach this formula and the world will enjoy a shortage of financial idiots. Sorry Washington!

Remember it's never too late to begin good habits. It's also never to late to teach good financial wisdom. Have that chat with your children today!

Let's "TRY" this!

Imagine you got hired to do a task, say, move some product from point "A" to point "B". You analyze the situation and tell your employer that you need a truck to do the job. Your employer considers your request and tells you alright, you can have that truck, but it will only have three wheels. Now you know how General Stanley Mc Chrystal feels.

The Commander in Chief announced his strategy last night for Afghanistan. He pledged the full support of our armed forces, as long as it doesn't take anymore than 18 months and 30,000 men. Talk about commitment! He's going to "try" to win a war with a surge in a country with no infrastructure, a mostly ignorant population, and a third again as big as Iraq,(that surge started in 2007 and is still occupied). I hope he doesn't try that kind of commitment with his marriage! Three quarters effort and a defined timeline for commitment doesn't sound like a plan for success at anything.

I think we can all agree that if we dedicated the full resources of our armed forces that occupation would be over in a heartbeat. Then we could begin to rebuild the already nonexistent infrastructure and government. Or we could ignore the requests of a man who studied war and has the applied experience needed to access the situation, to bow to the pandering of a man who's only battle ever fought was a popularity contest.

War is not a popularity contest. There can only be one battle plan. In the words of President Reagan; "We win, they lose!" Now that's a strategy! Instead America wasted three months while our Commander in Chief dallied trying to find a formula that would appease the left and still back his commitment to the "War of necessity." Three months of delay is expensive when your talking war! It was a disappointing result.

His motivational speech was less than effective. Did anyone else notice the cadets falling asleep? Hard to rally bored troops. You'd think since most of them will be shipped over there they'd be interested in the "pep talk." Not so much. I don't think I can blame them, nothing said falls in line with what they've been taught. You go to war to win, not to run away if the timeline doesn't fit your schedule. I wonder how that would have worked in World War one and two? How can we not be 100% dedicated?

Freedom and the safety of a nation has a price. Pay it and move on.

Charity and Job Creation

One of the most wonderful things about living in this country is the ability to be an entrepreneur, if you can find a need, and fill it, your able to create an income, as others benefit. Let's examine how this applies to non profits as well! Non profit organizations find a need and fill it, in the process they also supply needed employment. As the government takes from the rich to give to the poor they are hampering the very thing our country desperately needs right now, job creation. How about we apply this principle to healthcare.....

Government run healthcare has a great example of inefficiency and fraud in Medicare and Medicaid. They are not the only options. Years ago a couple of organizations,(nonprofit), saw a need and began to fill that need. St Jude's Children's hospital fills a need for youngsters stricken with health challenges that no family could be expected to fund. The Shriners have also created, out of need and compassion, a fantastic network that aids burn victims and other medical needs of deserving children. They all operate on donations. The charity and good will of your fellow man. Now these two examples are privately run and are models of efficiency. Guess what, there's not a lick of fraud in either organization.

So wouldn't it be a wiser course to get the government out of charity and let efficient fraud free private sectors fill the need, and supply much needed employment? With our spirit of entrepreneurship, don't you think ambitious Americans could recognize opportunity and privately fill the gap? Every time we take tax dollars and create entitlement we invite fraud, abuse and stifle the ingenuity of the private sector. That doesn't sound like the American way to me.

When people lack opportunity they:
Give as little as possible.
Look for excuses.
They become tired.
They miss out on innovation.

When opportunity presents itself people:
Sacrifice to succeed.
They seek ways to win.
They become energized.
They help others win.
They become efficient.
They confront fraud and abuse.
They feel better about themselves.

Or we could let the government continue to take over and get the same results we're seeing now.

All Hands on Deck!

I'm amused at the recent push by the liberal politicians to introduce the "public option" into the new health care proposal. Their reasoning is to introduce competition into the market place, which should in their mind lowers health care insurance coverage prices. So by a show of hands.....Who fell for that idea?

First we need to look at how healthcare insurance currently works. State's oversee what a provider has to include in a policy. The levels of required coverage differ from state to state. For example, a consumer could walk into an insurance provider in Utah and receive a policy for as little as $1574.00 per year. If that same person was to purchase coverage in say, the state of Maine, the policy would cost $3688.00 per year. Now take the identical consumer and send them to get coverage in the state of New York and he'd have an out of pocket expense of $4734.00 per year. Better than three times the cost of the Utah plan. Why? The minimum coverage demands are more inclusive in the other two states, closer to Cadillac plans, if you were.

A more conservative approach has suggested we open up interstate competition so those in New York could have the option to purchase affordable insurance from a Utah licensed provider. Allowing for the free market to determine the marketable price of an insurance policy, there by lowering the prices through competition. The insurance regulators of those individual states are opposed to such folly as they claim it'll open the door for less than desirable coverage for their citizens. My guess is the insurance lobby is pulling their strings, or the state officials don't want to relinquish their "control" they grown so accustom to.

Enter the liberal idea... They want to establish a public option to compete. Now if the federal government was to offer insurance nationwide, wouldn't that be unfair competition as other companies aren't allowed to cross state line without complying with state regulation? Doesn't this also strip the state of "control" of their individual insurance markets? Wouldn't we accomplish the same thing by just allowing interstate insurance sales, without forcing the states to give up their regulation? Pssstt, it's a power grab by the federal government!

The federal government is power hungry. They've gained control of your school system by holding the purse strings, thereby dictating standards. They've even entered your car, now your required to wear seatbelts because if your state didn't enact legislation to that effect, the feds would cut of road funding. Now they are after your health care. Our founding fathers insisted that the states have the freedom to govern themselves. This power granted in the Constitution is slowly being eroded away by Washington under the guise of "What's best for us". A little side bar here: "What's good for the masses" is right out of the Communist Manifesto. The United States of America was founded on the principle of "individual" rights. If you concentrate on what is good for the individual, the masses will be just fine.

I hope the voters recognize this for exactly what it is! Complain loudly my people, our freedom is once again under attack by Washington. If they control your health care plan, they will be that much closer to controlling you. This is an assault on free market principles and your right to choose.

God Bless!

A Thanksgiving Proclamation!

Reprinted from: Founders Quote Daily
with thanks to friend and blog reader Flight!

George Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to "recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:"

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789.

Thankful to be American!

It's come to that wonderful time of year when we all reflect and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. Here are some I'm thankful for that just might be overlooked during this festive season...

I'm thankful the Christian leaders have united and composed the Manhattan Declaration, It's a statement that's long over due. (If your not familiar with this please go to this web site and review it http://www.manhattandeclaration.org/)

I'm thankful for the plethora of readers who enjoy this blog daily, and the common sense they exhibit. Your comments and advice are always welcome, they make this a better message.

I'm thankful we have held off the debacle of Universal Health care, and pray God guides our leaders to a better solution.

I'm thankful we've not been financially burdened by unwarranted Cap and Trade legislation.

I'm thankful someone is finally exposing the Global Warming farce.

I'm thankful the fraud and deceit of ACORN has been exposed. I'm looking forward to a future of ACORN and SEIU free government influence.

I'm thankful the current administration has finally waken the sleeping giant and our nation is responding in kind. It's about time we recognized our freedoms are slowly being eroded from underneath us. If they accomplish nothing else, (and this is my prayer), may they be the group of elected officials that are held responsible for us understanding how valuable our freedom is.

I'm thankful this term has exposed the underlying agendas of some of our prominent officials. My hope for the future is their constituents realize the constant embarrassment they cause their districts and point them toward the unemployment line.

I'm thankful we as Americans have realized that hope is sometimes disguised as "change". I'm hopeful we will demand "change" be better defined before we jump in with both feet.

I'm thankful we have learned to listen to what a candidate says when they speak. When they say they are going to "fundamentally change" the country we love we will take them seriously, and recognize that as the threat it's meant to be.

`And last, I'm thankful for this great free Republic we live in. Thankful, and grateful, for the men and women who serve and protect our freedoms. Stay safe!

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
