Interchangeable

"Do not separate the text from the historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end up in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government."- James Madison

Man he must have been a profit! Or is it they battled with the same ideology back then we do today? Isn't it amazing the same people who are trying to redefine the Constitution are also the same ones who attempt to change the interpretation of the Bible? They also twist and turn the text of the Bible, ignoring the historical background to justify their needs, be it some form of reparation, or just sinful behavior. This is why my friends, it's so important to know what you believe, and why you believe it. You'd be amazed how quickly those advocates of misinformation turn heels and run when confronted with some well placed facts. Don't accept the preaching of deception, whether it's from the Bible, or the Constitution it was based upon. The words speak for themselves, there is no need for a creative spin. We hold these truths to be self evident, because they are simple principles, for simple men. We don't need to be told what they really meant by what they wrote, we can read it for ourselves.

You could take the quote from James Madison above, and replace the word Constitution with the word Bible, and the word government with the word faith, and it would apply equally. Apparently the enemies of the text are the same.

God Bless!
