I Believe...You Need to Reconsider!

This artical sports fans was posted in the Somerset, New Jersey newspaper, and was brought to my attention by my sister. She was appalled her children had to attend school under these conditions.

SOMERVILLE – A 16-year-old Bridgewater-Raritan High School junior suspected of planning a Columbine-type killing spree at the school was taken into custody on Thursday after police executing a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence found gun ammunition, black powder and explosive devices. Investigators said the male student allegedly made threatening comments towards a police school resource officer and other students....

Well you know I can't keep quiet about the lack of common sense so posted below is my reply to this story in the paper's blog......

When you consistently take aim to shoot yourself in the foot occasionally you hit the mark. We've decided that God and the morality of the Ten Commandments have no place in our public schools. Then have the audacity to be appalled when behavior like this is revealed. Just a couple of things here that might have been taught to help keep this child on track....

Thou shalt not kill
Love Thy neighbor
Treat other as you'd like to be treated
Etc,etc

Now I realize these policies might offend someone in New Jersey, but they've never killed anyone, nor have they attempted to. Can you say the same for uninviting the Judeo-Christian principles this country was founded upon from the classrooms? It's not surprising morality was absent when role was called, it's not taught.

Whether you're a Christian or not, you'd sleep better knowing that you neighbors believe and attempt to live by the Ten Commandments. I'm believe you'd also be more comfortable if the children who attend school alongside yours believed in some deity and were guided by a code of morals. This, citizen's of New Jersey, is the result of you allowing a selfish minority to strip your children of a quality education in the name of principles that don't exist. No where in our Constitution, Bill of Rights,or Declaration of Independence, is it required that there be a separation of church and state.

I encourage you to speak out when you see the same insanity complained about. We've been too quiet, too long. Or you could home school and take your chances that morals become a fad!

God Bless
Capt. Bill
