Speak for the Individual!

America is under attack, not just by religious zealots who find utopia trying to bring as many of our citizens to their demise as possible, but with a sneakier enemy. Our threat is self inflicted, it comes from within, it's a product of stinking thinking. Somewhere we lost our way and decided to overlook the individual's rights. Our attitude of late is too look for what does the best for the most people. The problem being whenever you try to do mass good, you trample one person's individual rights. Case in point, Universal Health Care.......

While trying to do, "Good for the people", a phrase right out of The Communist Manifesto, Universal Healthcare, and other legislation designed to benefit large groups of citizens walks all over the individual.

Examine the premise of this movement. Government intends to take taxes from a small group of people and use that money to benefit a larger group. While Robin Hood was a good guy, he too was dealing in a socialist manner. When you take from one group to give to another, without their permission it's called theft, when they donate it willingly it's called charity. So as it's proposed, we are trampling the rights of a few to benefit the needs of the many, "For the good of the people." (Again, I note, a theme from The Communist Manifesto).

The country was founded on the rights of the individual. If we focus on the individual, the masses will be just fine. The upside will be it'll eliminate fraud.

Example...The Shriners,(a charity), helps individuals with burn issues, all at no cost! Is there fraud or abuse? Not a lick. Why? Because the focus on the individuals need. Example...St. Jude's Children's Hospital, again a charity, again based on individual need. Fraud? Nary a case!

Can this be applied through out the country in different models? Absolutely! Can this model bring back individual rights and serve the needy? You betcha! Money is provided through donations, with out the arm bending of imposed taxes. Does it work? They are all running in the black, without a deficit. Can Washington boast that? Not a chance! People give willingly and often to charities that use the money for good and responsibly. Do you have the same glow when you pay your taxes? Not in my domain!

God Bless
Capt. Bill
