As you read this next paragraph, please consider how close we are to the fears of Alexis De Tocqueville coming to fruition. It's almost prophetic!

Lost in the crowd of other individuals, we run the risk of having no resources save the domestic ones, and becoming absolutely dependent on government and public opinion for emotional, intellectual, and finally economic support."-Alan Ryan
Is the media forming public opinion? Did they not have a strong hand in electing the last President, and trying to do the same now? Are we not at an all time high for food stamps and government assistance? Does the federal government not control the curriculum in our public schools? Interesting that this was forewarned in the 1800's!
