Washington always has something to talk about, the latest and greatest being the Solyindra scandal. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, the short version is we the tax payers lent them a half a billion dollars to manufacture solar panels. They then went bankrupt. Now there is all kinds of finger pointing and who done it accusations, rightfully so. But let me propose a solution, a simple answer to all this to do.
No where in any of our founding documents is the power for the federal government to lend money. How about we quit believing that the Constitution is a living document and simply follow the principles outlined in it? They didn't set up a federal income taxing authority like today's IRS because they understood excessive revenues in the hands of government officials would add a temptation for corruption, and here we have it.
You can have degrees from every learning institution in the United States, but as of yet that hasn't qualified anyone to be wiser than the brain trust that formed this country's policies. They had a specific intent for everything they did, and to this day every time we stray from those ideals problems occur.
Follow the design!
God Bless!
Capt. Bill
