Orrin posted something profound the other day, as he usually does, and it stirred my thought process.
Instead of creating a life of regrets, by avoiding our dreams, why not create a life of dreams, by avoiding our regrets.- Orrin Woodward
Most people live a life of managed regrets, how many times have we said, "If only I had..." How things might have turned out differently for me! So as life would have it, I came across this passage in the Bible today that might help shed a little light on those regrets.
" Take off the garment of your sorrow and affliction, O Jerusalem, and put on forever the beauty of the glory from God. Put on the robe of righteousness from God, put on your head the diadem of the glory of the Everlasting. For God will show your splendor everywhere under heaven. For your name will forever be called by God, Peace of righteousness and the glory of godliness."-Baruch 5- 1-4
We don't need to ponder those regrets anymore than to realize they are part of God's greater plan for us. Learning experiences and character molding, they serve to define what we are today, and drive us to be what we will tomorrow. Let your dreams guide you for a greater tomorrow, and let those regrets lie in the past where they belong....forgotten.
God Bless!
