Learn from Others?

I recently listened to a talk on health care by a wealthy Canadian who was explaining (Much to his enjoyment) that Canada is moving away from Universal Health Care, while the United States is running head first into it. Canadians are preparing to take responsibility for their own well being because it's become so inadequate and financially unsustainable that it's existence is on very shaky ground.

Pro health care advocates in our country would argue this noting the Canadian economy is in better shape than ours because their dollar is worth more. Great point, but, there is a simple reason. Canada is the leading supplier of crude oil to the United States, creating a trade imbalance. They are tapping into the same oil supply available to us and exporting it here, and you thought the Middle East was the evil oil barons! Their economy is thriving because they do what we refuse to. Yet they realize Nationalized Health Care isn't working. It took them thirty years but now they see the light. Sadly we are a proud nation and refuse to learn from the mistakes of others.(Insert the failed Japanese economic bailout policy's information here).

We seem driven to join other Socialist nations policies of late. The United Nations has apparently become the influencer of the direction the United States is taking. From the global warming myth to health care and entitlements for all our politicians are swallowing information from a very corrupt and agenda driven source. One of the "arms" of the UN is the World Health Organization.

WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

Don't miss tomorrow's post when I bring to light some skewed facts presented by WHO, driving our nation toward an unsustainable health care system. Our nation faces a battle for the greatest health care in the world. Please read tomorrow and enter that fight armed with information!

God Bless
Capt. Bill
