While a starfish and a spider look similar, there is a huge difference between them. If you remove the head of the spider, the spider is done. And if you extract a leg from the spider it may live, but it will have a handicap. Remove 2 or 3 of that spider's legs, and it's not likely to survive.
Cut a starfish in half and you have two starfish. Cut that starfish into ten pieces and you have ten starfish. This my friends is how we grow leaders and expand communities. We become like the starfish! We develop leadership that can stand and grow on it's own, unlike the community led by the spider like individual. The spider run community dissipates if the leader is removed. The starfish style of recreating leadership abounds and survives, because each appendage can stand on it's own! This is why it's important to inspire personal growth and the development of leadership skills.
Be the starfish!
God Bless!
