Becoming A Leader!

In the sphere of life, we as participants are always becoming! Everything is always changing in one form or another. Where there is no growth, there is decay. As ancient Greek philosopher  Heraclitus once noted....

"You can't step into the same river twice."

This is why I stated at the beginning, we are always becoming. Your not the same person now that you were when you began to read this article. So the question today is. What are you becoming?

We all have potential that is limited by only our imaginations. But that potential left on it's own has no actual value. We have to get ourselves into motion. Motion has cause. Cause has an effect. If we are to have an effect, hopefully a positive one, we must first get into motion. And as we all know, a body in motion tends to stay in motion, whereas a body at rest tends to stay at rest. Which begs yet another question. Are you growing, or decaying?

Personal development is about becoming. Becoming one that's not in decay. Remember the tomato, once it stops growing and achieves ripeness, the next process is decay. So to avoid the decay process we must press forward, be in motion, fertilize the growth process.

We have enough decay in today's society. Let's be the agent of change! Let our actions and yearning for personal growth be the example to lead society out of the state of decay it realizes. It's a call to leadership!

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
