Be All You Can Be!

Yesterday I was pondering the statement, " The greatest power for those down on their luck, lies within themselves." Isn't it interesting we who reside in the United States of America celebrate exceptionalism at all levels? Take for instance the way we empower our wounded veterans. I challenge you to find another country who works as hard as we do to give them every opportunity to excel and lead a fruitful life. What other country builds specialized housing so those heroes who suffer amputations can be independent? How about the prosthetic devices invented and implemented so those brave men and women can function at any level of achievement they choose?

And it's not just the military we help rise up. Americans are constantly using innovation to maximize the quality of life for those who've been dealt a bad hand. We are constantly seeking new ways for everyone to overcome whatever limitations they face. Research in hearing impairment, vision advances, and speech enhancement are always driving on the cutting edge, looking for new ways for Americans to be all they can be. What other country strives so hard for those who might have something to contribute, yet through fate have found themselves limited? It's truly the land of opportunity!

While other nations condemn their challenged citizens to a less than desirable existence, we provide the tools necessary to overcome whatever obstacle life has thrown their way. It leaves them with a sense of independence and self worth. So with all that positive empowerment we encourage from those that fate wasn't so kind to, would someone please explain the concept of welfare, food stamps, and 99 weeks of unemployment compensation?

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
