That's what friends are for!

The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.~ Ralph Waldo Emmerson.

The ultimate compliment from someone is the trust of friendship. I recently read that trust is like the framework of a painting, holding the relationship together. So it goes the trust earned from others begins within one's self. That's the eleventh commandment as defined by Authors Chris Brady and Orrin Woodward. Thy shalt not fake one self out! Self deception is also the antidote for personal growth. If you ever catch yourself using the phrase "Just this once." Your likely the victim of self deception. Shakespeare wrote, "To thine own self be true" It's time to take a look in the mirror and ask, can I trust this person? This is the solid foundation true friendships are built upon.

Chaplain to Queen Victoria, Charles Kingsley, said, "A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend, a human soul whom we can trust utterly, who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults". Beautiful words! Friendship is a journey, complete with potholes, highs, and lows. Never allow a situation become bigger than the relationship. That's the quickest way to bankrupt a friendship.

I've found it useful to learn the art of apology. Everyone has different needs when it comes to forgiveness. Learn the most effective apology for each of your friends, it'll come in handy and put your relationship back on track quickly!

God Bless

  1. Friendship is thoes who RESPECT us and we RESPECT them.
For without the FOUNDATION of SELF RESPECT there is no friendship.
Friendship starts with knowing a person name.
There is no sweeter sound then hearing your name.
Friendship is absolute RESPECT for one another.
For when you lose RESPECT you lose your friendship.
Do you have friend or acquaintances.
If you don't trust your friend with your family, wife, children, life, etc, the people you know then there just acquaintances.
I know a lot of people but trust few.
Most of them are just acquaintances.
Like the Capt said look in the mirror, do you RESPECT who you see??.

    Thank you for your time.
