It never ceases to amaze me how in the handbook of life, (the owners manual), everything you need to know to be happy and successful is laid out for you. Yet we stray further and further from it.
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul : when thou has found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.-Proverbs 24:13,14
If only I knew then what I know now, but then it was always right in front of me, wasn't it? One would think with nine years of a parochial education a student would be led to the truth, and encouraged to read the Bible. If it wasn't promoted there, is it any wonder that the lay population doesn't seek the wisdom in the pages of the Bible?
Here's a thought...as parents why don't we create a habit and teach our children to seek the truth? It's a simple act to inspire our youth to enjoy reading the handbook of life. All the answers to all their questions lie within. Isn't it a great idea they learn them sooner rather than later?
God Bless!
Capt. Bill
