Jefferson Had It Right!

"If a farmer and a professor were confronted with the same problem, the former will decide it often better than the latter, because he has not been led astray by artificial rules."
Thomas Jefferson

Does that speak volumes to the condition we are in today, or what? While theory is a wonderful thing in the classroom, there is no substitute for experience. How many times was the argument made during the election campaign, that our current president has had no experience at anything? I'm all for giving people opportunity, without that there would be no advancement of our society. But you have to see the arrogance we are dealing with, there is absolutely no accountability in our current leadership. Every issue is someone else's fault. I've seen eight year olds that had more character. Mistakes are part of learning, but you can't learn if you don't admit you made one. The country has totally lost respect for this administration, they've not done a thing wrong, yet there are more disasters currently on the fringe or active than anytime during my life.

The only glimmer of hope is that parents can use this example to teach their children how not to act. When your confronted with a problem, own it. Take responsibility for it! It becomes solved much faster when you holding yourself accountable for the results. Perhaps that's why we are still dealing with oil spewing in the gulf, etc!

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
