If a man's heart is rankling with discord and ill feelings toward you, you can't win him to your way of thinking with all the logic in Christendom. Scolding parents, and domineering bosses and husbands, and nagging wives ought to realize that people don't want to change their minds. They can't be forced or driven to agree with you or me. But they may possibly be led to, if we are gentle and friendly, ever so gentle....and ever so friendly....-Dale Carnegie
It is old and true maxim that " a drop of honey catches more flies than a gallon of gall." So with men! If you would win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are his sincere friend. Therein is a drop of honey that catches his heart; which, say what you will, is the great high road to his reason! -Abraham Lincoln.
Why aren't these simple principles taught in our education system? Why is it left to the individual to seek and learn these experiences on their own, rather than have the wisdom of those who've walked this path before them? Once again we are faced with the reality that our education system is preparing the students to apply for a job, not equipping them for life. Since they are there anyway, why don't we teach them to love to learn, not train them to be employed? I've always been of the school of thought animals were trained, not people. People should be thought to think, then pursue those thoughts to a conclusion. Not be told how to perform.
God Bless!
