The Means To The End!

The labor unrest in Wisconsin once again proves adversity reveals character. Because it's illegal for those government union workers to avoid going to their job so they might protest, the union has found some doctors to supply illness excuses for the strikers. They justify this by using the Machiavellian principle where "the ends justify the means."

Let's assume the union has some justification to assemble and protest, just for fun. The whole cause just gets flushed down the drain as it's integrity is impeached by this less than ethical act.If they even had a valid point to base their displeasure upon, it's been flushed, and all because they sacrificed their character publicly.

Now what medical professional would risk their license by supplying these state employees an excuse that's not true? Would you ask this doctor to give you aid or a diagnosis? Not only has this movement ruined themselves in the eyes of a nation, they've put several medical professionals careers at risk. Once again rationalizing it with "the ends justify the means."

Now given the above facts, if you were a union employee, and have seen these breeches of ethics first hand, would you feel comfortable handing over your hard earned dollars to these unions to represent your best interests? Personally, if they can rationalize any behavior as justifiable considering the cause at hand, when do your interests become sacrificed because "the ends justify the means?"

Now as a parent and a tax payer of the State of Wisconsin, are you comfortable with these people who obviously lack character and integrity, being a role model, and instructor of your children for the better part of the day? Since it's quite apparent the ends are more important than the means, at what point do your children become the means and not the ends?

God Bless!
Capt. Bill

P.S. Should those parents be comfortable having people teach their children math who can't figure out there is no money to continue the present level of compensation?
