How does a seasoned performer flub the words to the National Anthem? Was it a case of nerves, or a testament to how our nation's culture has declined? I hope and pray the nerves were the issue, but I have to be honest, it doesn't bode well in front of the rest of the world.
I hope ever parent takes this opportunity to instill the Pledge of Allegiance, and the National Anthem till it is committed to their children's memory. Apparently it's not given any priority in our education system. Anybody want to bet me every man, woman, and child that lives in China can recite China's National Anthem? If the President wants to improve our education system, and is so enamored by China's and India's we might just start there.
I'm sure the media will beat this to death, and rightfully so. I have a tinge of sympathy for Christina Aquilera, but honestly this was not the work of a seasoned professional performer. I'll be curious to see how this is treated in the news. Will they harp on the fact she made a mistake, or highlight the decline in culture?
God Bless!

I think its sad. Really pains me to see our once great republic treated this way! All in all however, as far as I'm concerned anyway, the super bowl has become less of a stage to recognize great achievement and more of a religious distraction / diversion from real events!
