The union unrest facing our country is about to grow, as budgets become unbalanced the first place any operation looks is it's overhead. The biggest cost in the overhead is traditionally, labor. Since most of the government employees are unionized, this will create a rift.
Workers have been told they have a "right" to work. Now I'm a firm believer that "rights" are granted by God, not by man, and I've never seen the "right" to work as something God defined as ours. He has given us the "ability" to work, and he has encouraged fruitful labor, but He's never granted us the "right" to work.
This fallacy has evolved with the onset of the industrial age, and the unionization of the labor force. Man, or the union has created this "right" and indoctrinated it's members. As with any "right" granted by man it can be also taken away by man. Like when they tell someone after being arrested they have the "right" to remain silent, then do their best to take away that "right" and convince them to talk about what happened.
Let's look back to the beginning of our great nation. Just exactly what jobs were available to the early settlers as they made their way onshore? The work they engaged in was for survival, there was no employment to seek. If you didn't work, you perished, as many did despite their best work ethic.
You have no "right" to work, as you have no guarantees that all of your labor will fruitful and beneficial to your survival. We as humans have no control over any of that. Because any of those "rights" we so often hear about are created by man, or the union ideals. Therefore they can be just as quickly taken away as they were created.
Here's the scoop, if you have a job do it like no other could. That and that alone should determine your worth to those that employ you. It's the surest way to job security, and the highest possible compensation for your efforts. Or you could be self employed!
God Bless!
Capt. Bill
PS- It never hurts to be thankful you do have a job.....
