The Dawn of the Information Age!

About the worst thing that has ever happened to politics, from the view of the modern day politician, is the dawn of the information age. Political dinosaurs like Joe Biden have become used to passing off statistics out of thin air to accent or highlight a point they were making. With the dawn of the Internet and it's availability by simply using your cell phone, their talking points are readily verifiable. So the yarns they are using to passing off as fact are being quickly exposed, and their credibility is being called into question.

The information age and the awakening of the general voting public just might create the new moral standard in Washington. The era of spewing half or totally untrue information is slowly being pushed to the wayside, as voters are demanding a new level of integrity. Character and truth may yet become fashionable in Washington, and I for one will embrace the change.

Prior to this revelation the voters knew they were being lied to, it was just too difficult a process to verify, so it was accepted as normal behavior. Now it's virtually impossible to deceive the public and a politician's rhetoric is bound to be exposed with lightening fast speed, and then they can be held accountable at the scene of the crime. Contrary to the past procedure, where time had the opportunity to distort the words, now the perpetrator is immediately exposed.

I find it hilarious that politicians are trying to say there is no proof they said something, then a pundit will do an hour long show highlighting every little burp of the truth that passed through their lips. Reminding me of the phrase, "I know your lying, your lips are moving." My guess that quote was attributed to a voter calling out a politician.

This whole new revelation has politicians calling to "regulate" the media. Swats at our freedom of speech are being thrown out their daily trying to silence the truth. They don't like the exposure of the truth, it calls their integrity into question. Hence the latest assault, "The Fairness Doctrine", yet again another attempt to quell the truth. I guess they forgot the saying, "Truth, Justice, and The American Way!"

God Bless!
Capt. Bill
