"We Have Nothing To Fear, But Fear Itself!"

The plague of our day is fear. It abounds in our society enhanced by the complicit media attempting to attract readership or viewers by sensationalism. Unfortunately this drive for market share often comes with a cost, the truth. We have our fears enabled by thoughts of climate change, economic meltdown, political unrest, wars, the national debt, and the decline of society as a whole. Fear has driven people to protest, camp out in parks, and cause social unrest. So what is this fear thing that has us in it's grips?

False
Evidence
Appearing
Real

Nothing exposes how overblown our minds have allowed the unknown to consume us as the light of truth. Confronting fears and bringing the truth to the surface dispels it's power. Are you more concerned of walking into a dark room you've never encountered before, or the same well lit room with everything exposed to avoid conflict with the unseen? Bathe your fears with truth and hang them out to dry by confronting them.

If exposure reveals the fear is a valid concern, seek out those who've confronted the same goliath. Learn from those who are the wisest in your life. Study and learn from history, seek new sources of wisdom, be widely read, and think deeply about what you read on the topic. Fear's worse enemy is knowledge, it's best friend is the media. Verify the information you've consulted and then form a proactive plan of action. Apathy and complacent attitudes enable fear.

The Seeds Of Happiness!

It's day whatever in the "Occupy Wall Street" protest and still no one has found a solution to happiness by camping out where no campground exists. For the life of me I cannot understand what these unhappy individuals hope to promote! Personally I've always found that actions requiring discipline, morality, and work nearly always translate into lasting happiness in life. Perhaps the mentors of these protesters haven't cast that image for them. If I were them I'd be considering taking my input from a different source because upon reflection they don't seem to be any happier today then they were in the beginning. In fact, it appears the level of frustration has elevated.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein

You see, what we have here is an incredible teaching moment for the dissatisfied. We aren't happy in order to be free and prosperous, we value freedom and prosperity because it allows us to enjoy our happiness. Protect your freedom and evict government from the process and happiness will follow.

Often times we are guilty of seeking the precursor to happiness, but it was bequeathed to us by our forefathers and we need to embrace the principles. Too often we assume when we grow older happiness will follow. Stability with age? Maybe we think that being wealthier will make us happier, or if we lose weight, become stronger, healthier, etc. We attain happiness by understanding how blessed we are to have the freedom to make choices. Only then will you have the liberty to plant the seeds, nurture them, and bring the fruit of happiness to harvest. Government restrictions on those liberties are like weeds choking out the growth of freedom! Don't ask the government to provide you happiness, exercise your God given freedoms and enjoy the bounty of fruitful labor!

This Defines The Difference!

We've been blessed with some astoundingly astute writings regarding our experiment called America. Alexis De Tocqueville was a French historian / political thinker, who toured America in the early 1800's when we were all fresh and right out of the womb, made these observations. See if you think any ring true today!

After having thus successfully taken each member of the community in it's powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends it's arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced to do it by act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd. -Alexis De Tocqueville, Democracy In America.

The burden our society is facing with government regulation from our salt intake to how and what our children are taught in government funded and union staffed education systems appears to be exactly what old Alexis was referring to. We are on the brink of what he feared! Herein lies the difference between the "Tea Party" and the "Wall Street" protesters; one fears the outcome De Tocqueville foresaw, the later is living it.

Association!

I had an absolutely amazing day yesterday getting to spend some quality face time with outstanding author Oliver Demille and his fantastic wife Rachel. We discussed politics, football, and life in general. I was like a sponge absorbing every tidbit of wisdom this patriot had to offer during our visit. I'd encourage each and everyone of you to invest in his three enlightening books and digest every word of truth he has to offer!

A Thomas Jefferson Education

The Coming Aristocracy

Freedom Shift

Honestly, as a patriotic American, it's our duty to weigh and understand every word this patriot has written in these three books. One of the most astounding points I was able to grasp out of his teachings is his uncanny ability to point toward the truth from a completely neutral stance. There is not an offensive word in any of these books pointed at either of our two party system, but there is truth. Honest, to the point, truth about where our nation is and what path it's on. Not books of stating the obvious, but volumes of solutions! Common sense, non-partisan answers, course correcting our great nation to a path of prosperity. There are answers to our questions hidden in these pages of wisdom that are refreshing and usable! I'm inviting you to become informed and to share the truth by paying forward the blessings written in these pages!

Public Splendor!

Equality of condition will perhaps inevitably be enemy of glory! While better at reducing misery than creating public splendor, it's more apt to give everyone some education than create emit tremendous flashes of genius; but those who want to ruin our republic see this as an acceptable trade!

Be very aware my friends that there are those in this country whether by intent or coincidence are hell bent on the destruction of our founding principles. A small minority of them currently stand in our town squares complaining about others success as you read this. While the majority of those protesting are simply puppets of the liberal higher (?) education system, those who are pulling their strings are the backbone of the negative agenda.

Our youth are paying outrageous tuition to institutions then turning toward the governing body of our nation to complain about their loan liability. Harvard, for example has a 34.9 billion dollar endowment fund. So what does that mean?
A college endowment is a sum of money that is granted by an individual or a group of people to a school as a permanent funding source. Usually, the endowment is so great—we're talking millions in many cases–that the school can use just the interest earned on the investment to support the department, program, scholarship, or whatever is being funded. But if that’s too much math for you to wrap your head around, just know that endowments are a BIG deal in the college world and that the more endowments a college or university has, the more great things they can offer their students.

So why are tuition's so high, and why aren't the students pointing their ire at the universities? Could it perhaps be they were told what to think, and not how to think by the instructors who they hold in such high esteem? If you can't come to the logical conclusion that if your expenses are too high, the bad guy is the seller, not the lender; Houston we have a problem! Have citizens so lost the ability to reason that they can apply this twisted logic? Apparently so!

Just like it was the banks fault that homeowners over leveraged themselves with mortgages they couldn't afford, so to is it the government entity that supplies students funding for their education fault that the cost of education is too high. Does anyone else see a problem here? This is the financial education supplied at the college level? This is the level of personal responsibility our youth believes to be correct? Talk about the dumbing down of America!

So the answer is to level the playing field for all and remove the incentive for profit, exceptionalism, creativity, and production. The government should supply all these dimly lit bulbs with free education, food, shelter and medical care, because frankly they'll have to, given the level of thinking they've achieved in our education system. The only problem is....Who's going to finance all this splendor?

Be All You Can Be!

Just as it's not possible for a chicken to become a duck by simply dressing up in a duck suit, so is it true that the media of today cannot pass off the Republic our forefathers founded as a Democracy. The two are totally different species and no amount of misrepresentation of our form of government changes that.

Factions of today's society are attempting to emulate the French Revolution seeking a liberal regime built on the assent of the masses, or an illliberal regime built on deluded or coerced support, (union interference for one). Our freedoms are in peril, they have infected the education system and are indoctrinating our youth so to achieve their goal in some future generation.

NOT ON MY WATCH!

Citizen's who focus on their own domestic concerns burying their heads in the sand under the guise of simply concentrating on survival, are destined to awaken to a political system that has fallen into the hands of crooks and manipulators and are bound to live under a variant of quiet despotism. We have to educate ourselves on how to present our case in public! It's critical to understand what we believe and exactly why we believe it! You must be armed with information to answer your critics and enlighten the uninformed.

That's where LIFE comes in. Please consider at least a minimal subscription to the information to aid you in this transformation. It's time America was introduced to the truth! Our freedoms, and those of our children are at risk and there is no better weapon to defend it than information loaded into a high powered assault rifle like you!

God Bless!

Popular Opinion!

Everyday we are bombarded by polls. The media tries to convince the American citizen that public opinion is the only test of truth, virtue and prosperity, as if John Q. Public has no psychological resources to resist. I have to admit I believe our education system is compliant in this endeavor. How many graduates can say they have been taught how to think in contrast to what to think? It's far from uncommon to have the loudest voice sway the mob, as if joining in a choir trying to harmonize the opinion of all.

Here's the truth...

If thousands of people are convinced that something is the right thing to do, it's still a meaningless test of the truth.

For instance....

If I took a random poll of thousands of people asking if being sloth and not going to work to provide for my financial needs, combined with and existence of drunkenness and lewd sexual behavior, was acceptable because it gratified my selfish short term needs. If they all saw it as okay because I wasn't hurting anyone but myself, does that deem it to be socially prudent? While the mob might be able to forgive my transgressions, it's still morally unacceptable. It's in direct violation of Biblical teachings and being absolved by the mob isn't going to get me eternal grace.

Like Mom always said, "if all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you follow?"

This is the democracy the media, government, and those who wish to destroy our country as we know it are trying to convince us our forefathers bequeathed to us. We don't live in a country that was founded on democracy, we were bequeathed a republic. A system of checks and balances designed to protect the populace from the influence of the mob. You know, that morally bankrupt crowd that judges everything you do with the lens of indifference toward your spiritual well being.

Here's the answer to the contingency of morality called,"they.".....

What allows liberty and equality to coexist in America is the fact that the conception of liberty the Puritans brought with them to America was a distinctively Christian conception, not a mere "let alone" nor a liberty that might turn into license, but a capacity to conduct ourselves by a law we freely accept. Not bound by the throws of public opinion, the confines of what's popular.

Leadership is never a popularity contest! It the ability to do what's not popular as needed. Stop the mob from defining who stands in government and what legislation they choose to abide by based upon popularity! Our decisions need to be based upon what is right, grounded in principle.

God Bless!
